The idea to be explored is how strong they can sometimes be, and yet also be misleading. The goal is to continue to take "fresh data" and challenge our initial perceptions so that we can get the most accurate view possible. Understanding but not blindly accepting first impressions is important in both business and our personal lives. If you have a story to share, please do. My daughter shared her first impression about her swim coach who initially seemed overly-tough, impersonal and not in anyway motivating. Six years later, he is still her favorite coach of all times. Clearly her first impression, while having merit, morphed over the years.

Jill's Blog

I can now say I've joined the blogging world since this is my first-ever entry. Kathy thought it was great and said she would join my blog world. She reminded me that 4 years ago she had to convince me to take her on as a client. The story was a funny one. She has prospered, her business has grown nicely, and she is having fun all along the way. Maybe she will share some part of the story at some point.
